Bridges Classes offer free, weekly learning opportunities for K–6 students and their families during the fall and spring semesters. Each program runs for 10 weeks, with fun, hands-on sessions led by IU student volunteers. Families are encouraged to join as often as they can, attendance every week is completely optional.

FAQ
There are, at minimum, two adults in the classroom during class: the primary language instructor and the Bridges class coordinator. In some classes, there are multiple language instructors working with different age groups, and some partner schools have additional supervisors.
Class sizes range between 5-20 students, meaning even the largest class will have a 1:10 ratio.
Parents or caregivers are responsible for dropping off and picking up participating students. Drop off/pick up locations for each program will be shared with families prior to the start of the program and will remain the same for full 10 weeks.
Yes! Families are encouraged to attend and participate alongside their child/children. Attendance is flexible, families can join as many or as few classes as they like.
